How does it work?
Bioremediation is the application of a biological treatment to cleanup hazardous chemicals. this results in the destruction of organic waste and eliminates environmental risk and liability. The processs of biremediation uses Microbes, enzymes, oxygen and other nutrients to chemically transformhydrocarbons into carbon dioxide and water.   Baad Bugs Surface Cleaner increases the surface area of the hydrocarbons

while the enzymes break down the contaminants into material that the microbes can consume, finally transforming them into carbon dioxide and water.   The enzymes used in Baad Bugs Surface Cleaner activate oxygen and convert it to a form in which the oxygen atom can be incorporated directly into the hydrocarbon compound, thus breaking the long-chain bonds.   The enzymes then attract the microbes surrounding the cell surfaces to catalyze the breakdown reactions.   As this process is repeated, the hydrocarbon compound is quickly broken down so that the microbes can then readily assimilate these simple hydrocarbons.   Once the reaction is complete, the enzyme breaks free to attach to another hydrocarbon source in order to repeat the same reaction.

Applications and Instructions

Mopping:   Fill container with properly diluted product.   For best results, use a double-scrub method.  Apply with mop, agitating the solution into the surface and reapply.   Baad Bugs Surface Cleaner will dissolve the hydrocarbons and leave the surface clean and dry without any film or residue, preventing slip and fall accidents.

Auto Floor Scrubber:   Fill container with properly diluted product.   Using for the first time, employing the double-scrub method will give best results.   Lay down solution with scrubbing action twice, allowing the solution to remain on surface a few minutes.   Then, lower the vacuum ethod.   Baad Bugs will clean the auto floor scrubber by removing the hydrocarbons build-up in the tanks and enhancing the overall performance as it works.

Spray-n-Wipe:   Fill container with properly diluted product.   Atomize the solution on machinery, equipment and/or tools and agitate the area loosening the oil, grease and grime.    Rinse the machinery, equipment or tools with water and allow to air dry or wipe clean with a cloth.   The surface will be dry and clean without any hydrocarbon residue or film.   Baad Bugs may be used on any water-safe surface.   Some agitation may be required on heavy, stubborn hydrocarbon build-up.

Baad Bugs has a neutral pH and does not have any odor or contain any corrosives or butyls.   These microbes are naturally-occurring, not genetically engineered, and are non-toxic, non-pathogenic and completely harmless to human, plant, animal and marine life.   It prevents slip and fall accidents by leaving surfaces clean and dry.   Baad Bugs Surface Cleaner significantly reduces the ability of flammable hydrocarbons to ignite.   Applying Baad Bugs Surface Cleaner to fuel and oil spills can eliminate several issues, unlike foams which blanket the spill.

Internal Coolant/Cutting Fluid Systems

Baad Bugs Surface Cleaner works on a variety of industrial oil and lubricants.   It is designed to remove spills and oil residue from floors, machinery and other surfaces.   It will not adversely affect holding tanks of oil or cutting fluids.  Baad Bugs Surface Cleaner cannot work in "pure oil" solutions because there is no oxygen, and most systems have some type of bacterial-controlling agents.   In the event that Baad  Bugs Surface Cleaner was introduced into an oil/cutting fluid holding system, it would not be able to degrade the hydrocarbons.
Baad Bugs Surface Cleaner will have immediate environmental and financial savings as compared to conventional "green" programs.   These are as follows:

See an example of Baad Bugs Surface Cleaner at work to the left, in Fig. 1.   A 1,000 gallon underground fuel storage tank containing contaminated jet fuel with standing spills, residue and flammable vapors.  Before this tank could be dismantled with cutting torches, the remaining fuel needed to be neutralized and the tank thoroughly cleaned to remove any flammable vapors.  

Baad Bugs Surface Cleaner and Fuel Eliminator

Using   spray equipment, two gallons of Baad Bugs Surface Cleaner were applied and circulated throughout the tank.   The remaining jet fuel was remediated, rendering the fuel non- flammable and netralizing any flammable vapors.   The tank was rinsed with pressurized water leaving a clean, resudue-free and vapor-free environment.
       
The process begins immediately upon contact with hydrocarbons and continues until all hydrocarbons are consumed.   Premixing with water does not activated product.   Baad Bugs Surface Cleaner may be used at a 1:2 dilution rate with water during warm weather and undiluted, full strength during cold weather.   Undiluted product is effective at zero degrees.

• With a pressurized sprayer, cover the spill with Baad Bugs Surface Cleaner completely saturating the surface of the spill.
• Reapply 3 or 4 minutes after initial application.
• Rinse surface with clean water.

Oil water Separators

Oil/Water Separators (OWS) can be costly to maintain and, if not properly managed, can pollute surface and ground water and lead to costly violations.   Baad Bugs Surface Cleaner improves OWS operations and reduces costs and liabilities.   Conventional degreasers disperse oil in wash water and make OWS's ineffective allowing oil to bypass the collection system, straight to the sewer.    Baad Bugs Surface Cleaner added to an OWS breaks down the petroleum products suspended or dissolved in the wastewater, floating oil, and/or sludge.   Facilities using Baad Bugs Surface Cleaner have eliminated wastewater violations by more than 80%.   Such reductions lower the regulator status of OWS sludge which affect the required disposal method and disposal costs.
